Despite your best efforts compressors may sometimes have problems; therefore, RM Support recommends annual inspection for Screw compressors.
The purpose of annual inspection is to have an overview of the state of the compressor. This is important not only for the technical staff but also for the budget holder. This working way will result in lower maintenance costs and avoid break-downs in thrust bearings and damages.
We work with fixed prices and if the inspection shows the need of the thrust bearings exchange, we can do it in the same time. Because we have the parts in stock, there is no need for your pre-investment. We charge only what we used.
The inspection would take one day.

By performing the annuals RM – inspection and by following our recommended way for maintenance you can delay the recommended overhaul time , for example for the Howden Compressor of the WRV/ WCV range, to 80.000 or even 100.000 working hours.

During annual inspections we check:

• The pre-load on the thrust bearings
• The shape of the capacity slide valve
• The state of the guide block runway in the slide valve
• The capacity control (piston sealing and other sealing parts will be renewed)
• End clearing of the rotor/ main housing will be checked and if necessary adjusted
• Checking the rotor facings on the discharge site
• Check for indications of white metal parts in the dead spots of the compressor

Oil analysis is also important, for example water content and viscosity change would indicate oil breakdown or dilution. If you wish we can examine the oil in your compressor unit.
