Overhaul of screw & reciprocating compressors

RM Support has an extensive experience in overhauling both screw and reciprocating compressors. We also supply start-up services on request. Keep in mind that RM Support is also able to deliver spare parts for most brands.

How it works:

When a compressor is sent to RM Support for an overhaul, it is dismantled and cleaned by the entry. The customer receives a complete inspection report with our repair recommendations, pictures and explanations. The above mentioned inspection and report are free of any additional charge.

After the approval of the customer, technical team of RM Support starts working on the requested repairs. A standard overhaul performed at the RM Support premises is usually completed within one week.

A standard overhaul includes:

1. Complete cleaning of the compressor
2. Rotor alignment examination
3. Inspection report with description of the recommended repairs
4. Installation of the new gaskets, including new O-rings, PTFE washers, tab washers, and lock-washers
5. Installation of the new thrust bearings
6. Replacement of journal bearings
7. Replacement of the shaft seal
8. Reconstruction of the journal bearings taps to the original size.
9. Replacement of the cover-flanges set and of the gasket set.
10. Delivery with one bar nitrogen filling, painted in standard RM Support blue colour

Possible extra repair:

If the inspection shows that extra repairs are needed, this will be specified in the inspection report.The recommended repairs will be presented together with possible solutions that suit every budget. RM Support also offers spare parts for overhaul on both screw & reciprocating compressors.
